Traditional Lebanese Arayes (Grilled Meat-Stuffed Pita)

Ingredients:

  • 4 large pita breads
  • 300g ground lamb or beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing

    Directions

    Step 1

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, tomato, garlic, parsley, cumin, allspice, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is cohesive.
